OK, I admit that I look at eggs for breakfast as a quick and simple offering, something to provide the devil God that is the hunger within, with the intent that if it pleases, it will stay away until at least around lunch time. With the limited time on normal workday mornings, I’ll fry up 2 or 3 eggs with a mixture of salt, California Pepper and Vulcans Salt.
However, the inspiration behind this all, never seems to be able to churn out just eggs, scrambled or fried (with BUTTER of coarse). It didn’t take too long after being with her that I found myself reacting differently when she asks if I want eggs. I went from looking at eggs as being humdrum and mundane as watching televised bowling, to being a bit enthusiastic in seeing what is delivered.
Some examples of easy to do eggs that she’ll do is to combine them with pieces of leftover meat, especially the well seasoned or marinated meats. Cheese is usually a repeat player in this game as well, but what cheese will it be? Being a creamery employee, that keeps the mystery alive. When asked just a moment ago about the ingredients used when making eggs, she just gave me that beautiful smile, looked at me with those dazzling green eyes and laughed. Translation: depends on what’s in the fridge at the time.
So to try and sum up this mere idea inspiring post, take a quick look in your box of edible tools and maybe gaze on it with a different eye; from a different angle. There are many key players that can change the game in to an exciting one. Leftover meat, cheese, veggies, salsa, etc are all great additions to a foundation that needs no help.
Remember, it’s the most important meal of the day.
